Notes from The Range
From full-time fashion to building a family beef business. Priorities have shifted.
I often think about regenerative soil and the need for rotational grazing on my family's fifth generation cattle ranch in northern California while driving on the 101 freeway at rush hour as I leave my full-time fashion PR job, Macbook tucked safely into my Prada tote.
I love both worlds (like A LOT) and toggle between the two. I take calls with agents from the car, then slip off my slingbacks the second I get home and change into overalls to trim our grapevines. They have exploded in growth over the past few weeks as we finally saw some warmth poke through the May gray. The sun is going down, my 1.5 year old daughter is helping me take the trimmings to the compost and scraps to our pet pig Georgie.
Multifaceted, multi-hyphenate, whatever it is called, I’m here for it all. And yes that includes a detailed skincare regimen and a fine-haired gal’s guide to fuller locks routine. Because, yes we can be both and work and personal can be within different spheres; not all encompassing.
As a 15-year vet of the fashion world working with REVOLVE, FWRD, & Other Stories, Aritzia, AG Jeans, L'AGENCE and more, I have many thoughts and ideas on fashion finds and personal style. But, I also make wine, have a busy toddler, a musician husband and help my family with our 100-year old cattle ranch in Northern California...more to come on that.
Lots to talk about and I look forward to sharing all my thoughts and hearing all of yours. This feels like a good place to gather and share similar to my favorite place in our house, the kitchen.
